Strategy with Purpose.Leadership with Impact.

Dr. K Strategy Group helps leaders across education, EdTech, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations strengthen how their teams work and how people experience their programs and services. Together, we turn purpose into practical strategy teams can carry forward.

How we help

Clear direction.
Coordinated action.

Each engagement is tailored to the decisions leaders need to make and the outcomes teams need to deliver.

01

Organizational Strategy & Design

When priorities are clear but the structure beneath them is not, we design the operating model, roles, and decision-making needed to support the work.

02

Implementation & Change Leadership

When strategy is clear but execution is uneven, we establish the ownership, measures, and routines that carry it from the leadership table into daily practice.

03

Professional Learning & Capacity Building

When new priorities require new capabilities, we design professional learning, coaching, and team development that build the skills, tools, and confidence teams need to execute consistently and sustain the work.

04

Education, EdTech & Experience Advisory

When a product or program is not delivering its intended experience, we trace the journey from design through implementation and use, then strengthen what it takes to deliver on the promise.

What we help solve

The gap between strategy and operating reality.

01

Growth or reorganization has outpaced the current structure.

02

The organization’s culture and ways of working have not kept pace with its strategy.

03

The strategy is clear, but execution is scattered across teams moving in different directions.

04

Cross-functional work keeps stalling because everyone can weigh in, but no one owns the decision.

05

New priorities require new capabilities, but teams need professional learning and support to carry them forward.

06

A product or program looks strong on paper, but the experience breaks down between design and delivery.

The approach

People-centered.Systems-minded.Built to work.

Strong strategy connects how people experience the work with the systems that shape it. Our approach is collaborative and practical, so your team can own the outcome and sustain the work after the engagement ends.

01

Listen

Start with the experience people are having. Listen to those closest to the work before defining the problem.

02

Align

Align leaders around one direction, with decisions grounded in purpose and evidence.

03

Build

Turn strategy into an operating plan your team can run, measure, and adjust from day one.

04

Sustain

Establish the routines and confidence your team needs to keep learning and improving after the engagement ends.

Meet Dr. Kristi James

Executive perspective.Educator's heart.

My work began in special education, where I learned to listen closely, recognize strengths, and address the barriers that stand between learners and opportunity. That experience continues to shape how I approach instruction and leadership.

Across education, nonprofits, and EdTech, I have led curriculum and professional learning teams, strengthened partner and family experiences, and supported educators and leaders through instructional and leadership coaching. My expertise in literacy, intervention, and special education grounds that work in the realities of teaching and learning.

I lead with heart and ask direct questions. I look for whose voice is missing, help leaders clarify what matters most, and work alongside teams to turn shared priorities into practices they can sustain.
